ABOUT ME

I’m a retired software engineer now helping future engineers and other students looking for help with math. I’m a local Lake Oswego resident who worked in the tech field for 25 years. My own children have attended Lake Oswego schools, completed college and now work in the fields of engineering and health care. I have been tutoring students in math since 2006.

FAQ

Each session is one hour long. I have a minimum requirement of meeting at least once per week to keep up with all class work. My typical scheduled times run:
4:00 – 5:00 pm
5:10 – 6:10 pm
6:20 – 7:20 pm
7:30 – 8:30 pm
I’m available Mon-Fri for regular scheduled sessions. I can also meet on weekends on an as-needed basis when tests occur on Mondays or Tuesdays.

I use an app called WhiteBoard by LiveBoard, available for free in the app store for all platforms. It works best on a tablet device (iPad or Chromebook) using a stylus pen or finger to write. It can also be used on a smart phone or a PC/Mac. Both student and I see what each other writes.
All of my sessions are done live online. The whiteboard serves as a shared piece of paper and FaceTime or Teams is used for video and audio.
Contact me with the online form here for information on rates. I offer both 1-on-1 tutoring for private sessions and 1-on-2 tutoring for friends or siblings in the same class. The rate for 1-on-2 sessions is split 50-50.
